The Investment Recovery Association is the premier source of professional development for investment recovery professionals. By providing ongoing education, skills training, and industry benchmarking Investment Recovery Association sets the standards for investment recovery.
Certified Manager of Investment Recovery (CMIR) Founded in 1994, the CMIR program was designed not only to further elevate professional standards and evaluate individual performance, but also to recognize and distinguish those who have reached one of the highest levels of achievement in investment recovery management. More than 180 investment recovery professionals have earned the CMIR designation. Individuals obtaining the designation have been tested to meet high standards of current knowledge, expertise and professionalism and have pledged to adhere to a strict code of ethics.
Once the CMIR is earned, the designee must accumulate professional credits and submit a completed recertification form four years after the original date of certification. Following that date, recertification is required every five years.
You should make the CMIR your goal if you have:
Been employed in an investment recovery position with three or more years of experience.
Acceptable in character, ability and reputation.
Pledged in writing to adhere to the Investment Recovery Association Code of Ethics.
Developed 35 points from your Personal Data Form and pass five
exams.
CMIR Module Sessions and exams are given at each Investment Recovery Association seminar. There is a Study Guide available for your reference.
